Bone-eater Corvus

This is Bone-eater Corvus, leader of the seven Bone-eaters of the Otherworld, my mythical creature project.

His name means Raven or Crow in Latin. As you can see, he has a skull that resembles one of a crow or raven...

Sadly, a bit on the side is cut off. And my scanner just went to sleep and won't wake up for some reason. Oh well. There were just a few bones there, plenty showed up in the picture, so it's no big deal. xD

I drew this completely at school, with several school days. Did snippets of it everyday, so I got 15-40 minutes to draw per day, depending on what we were doing. There's less time now, thanks to the cramming before the finals...

Almost finished it yesterday, except a tiny bit, so I finished it today at school. I started sometime last week.

This was pretty fun to draw overall. I haven't drawn this many bones in my life. Ever. Drawing 'em was better than listening to my geometry teacher try to struggle through with explaining a homework problem he should understand...so I did them while doing warm-ups. 1 warm-up, then 3 bones. 1 warm-up, cow-deer skull, 1 warm-up, 4 bones, etc...Honestly I didn't know what to draw around Corvus right then that morning, but I ended up deciding on bones instead of shredded animals or blood because it probably would make more sense. A classmate said I should draw plants around him the day before when I finished him, because of the mini tree on his back, but that didn't seem to fit either..

Big thanks to all my fellow classmates and teachers for their support and following-up on this guy. I'll start something new tomorrow. I'll either do a bear, eagle, or dragon, as requested. I all of you guys!

Time: 2-2.5 hours, drawn with two mechanical pencils on some printer paper. Two mech. pencils, because the first one broke during my Spanish exam. o.o
